Abstract

With the arrival of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in 2020, face-to-face actions in multiple sectors of society became unfeasible, leading many, including those focused on science outreach activities, to adhere to the virtual environment and its social networks. This article, therefore, proposes to discuss the experiences of restructuring the playful-educational dynamics and scientific outreach activities of the D.I.A.N. Project (Debates and Investigations on Animals and Nature), which aims to incite, in multiple spaces, ethical and moral insights on the complex relationship between humans and nature. The study presented here revealed that the project's actions in the virtual environment still need improvement, both because of the challenges encountered in the remote model, and because of the difficulty of this scientific outreach to reach other niches. However, benefits were also observed for the team resulting from the greater use of virtual tools, including the engagement of the members around the literature, and the internal strengthening of theoretical debates.
