Abstract

Prosody makes it possible to study production strategies aimed at making a particular impression on the listener through a person's speech. That is why it is relevant to analyze how a television journalist announces news on different topics. In this context, this research of scientific initiation investigated the variations in the prosodic parameters of twelve television journalists when enunciating a positive news and a negative one. For this, acoustic analysis was performed in the Praat software and statistical analysis in the R program. There was relevance for some parameters related to F0, syllabic duration and other particular occurrences. In the case of F0, there is a tendency to lower the median tone in negative news. In addition, it is possible to highlight in women a greater distinction in certain parameters of the F0. Considering that the corpus is small and the subjects behaved differently, it is difficult to generalize the conclusions.
