Abstract

The criticism of the state's monopoly on conducting and interpreting foreign policy and international politics gave rise to the first department for the study of international relations, which has just completed its first centenary. However, the expansion of the Science of International Relations as we know it, composed mainly of vibrant theoretical currents, is closely linked to the expansion of US interests around the world. Starting then from Hoffmann's seminal work in interpreting such characteristics of the field of study and taking into account more recent works in the light of the Teaching Research and International Policy project, this work sought to investigate how the productions of the Graduate Program in International Relations are expressed of the Federal University of Uberlândia between the years 2017 and 2022. It is concluded that, despite a growing plurality of works, there is a predominance of qualitative studies of subnational actors acting in international regimes, as well as studies of Brazilian foreign policy. Therefore, liberal approaches to International Relations predominate, despite the Program comprising a considerable community of reflexivist studies.
