DESENVOLVIMENTO DE DOIS JOGOS DIDÁTICOS COM PERSPECTIVA ÉTNICO-RACIAL
Abstract
The educational environment focused on sciences shows an invisibility pattern, mainly the issue is black women in scientific fields. In this context, the black woman faces challenges as a result of gender and racial intersections, that is, being a woman and black. Thus, it is not a surprise that there is a low percentage of black women in science. Besides, the structural racism in a patriarchal society undervalues them. And because of that, they are the base of the social pyramid. Hence, we propose a pedagogic intervention to increase the visibility of black scientists from Rio de Janeiro and their scientific research. Otherwise, this project discusses representatives and instruments to inspire a new generation of scientists. Thereby, we are developing two didactic games for a different approach to ethnic-racial issues. The first one is called 'The Game of Life' inspired by Estrela®. The objective of the game is that girls can understand how the life of a scientist is through immersion in it when they choose their career path. The other one is a ‘Memory Game' containing some scientists and telling their scientific research briefly. All scientists were selected through a data survey made by Núcleo de Estudos de Gênero e Relações Étnico-raciais na Educação Audiovisual em Ciências e Saúde/UFRJ. This article has a descriptive approach about the process of making games that contain the didactic potential to generate in black girls in school a desire to be a scientist. Keywords: games. education. race. gender. science.Downloads
