Abstract

This article discloses part of the final results of the research “Between us: experiments-rituals of poetic dissemination affected by the body-reclaiming of Sapphic writings” carried out during the master’s degree in Scientific and Cultural Communication concluded by this author at Labjor/Unicamp, in November 2020. During the elaboration of this dissertation, it became possible to create a version (DESPRET, STENGERS, et al. 2014) of poetic dissemination that, being woven in partnership (STENGERS, 2008, 2017) with the fragments of the archaic Greek poet Sappho (VII-VI BCE), can help to plot, by interlacing the fictions of Sappho (DEJEAN, 1989) already existing, a way out of the disputes of the will to have power-over (SCARTEZINI CRUZ, 2020) involved in the “Great Sappho Question” that has historically been opposing scholars on the subject: Lesbian Sappho or Sappho of Lesbos? Going outward those already known ways, but without abandoning those versions that already exist, quite the contrary: learning to have power-with (SCARTEZINI CRUZ, 2020) them, creating possibilities of reclaiming (STARHAWK, 1999; STENGERS, 2017) what before was divided and classified between the two sides of those disputes. Opening a way to this path of encounters between differences also requires that research allow itself to be always open, touched and transformed by the Sapphic – Erotic and Aphrodisiac – potencies weaving together with different ways of being an amateur (DESPRET, STENGERS, et al. 2014) lover of poetry and women through writing.
