Resumen

In view of the extensive produced literal net on the subject of the War of Canudos, the present work focuses the romanesca production especially, in order to stand out the paper of literature in the representation of the events. Through the analysis of the construction of the figure of Antônio Conselheiro in some selected romances, it is intended to reach the considered objective.
