Resumen

ABSTRACT: The aim of this research is to investigate the function and the importance of the myth on Howard Phillips Lovecraft´s work, notedly on his most important and influential group of narratives, a set of dozen interconnected histories known as "The Cthulhu Cycle" or "The Great Old Ones Mythos". Our final intent is to reveal the meaning of Lovecraft´s masterwork, its value as an intense and dialectic critique to the urban and industrial modern world
