A ACESSIBILIDADE AO CÂNONE NA FORMAÇÃO DE LEITORES
Abstract
ABSTRACT: The following proposed dissertation investigates contemporary adaptations of classics directed to the young people. Focusing on the adaptations' aims, we examine literary values and the ideal reader profile for these texts. Shakespeare is the chosen author for this study since he represents intended literary values to be passed on to young people. We undertake a literary analysis of Midsummer Night's Dream, aggregating traditional and classical values associated with this work. We also take a look at a selection of characteristics from the original and additions in adaptations in order to build an image of the reader from the textsDownloads
