ANJOS EMBRIAGADOS: UMA INTERPRETAÇÃO DO PAPEL DE ALGUMAS INSTITUIÇÕES SOCIAIS EM MOÇAMBIQUE

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Mia Couto, whose literary production is notable the Portuguese Literary System, distinguishes from the other writers because of his singular way of writing, in which he jokes with Portuguese lexicon and popular Mozambican proverbs. This research intends to analyse how he deals with irony and lyricism in the short story The inebriated angels, published in the book Chronicling. The proposal of this analysis is to discuss how this author deals with the mentioned elements and how he establishes a relation between them and a process, in which the readers become aware of the social situation of Mozambique.
