Non-coreferential anaphoric progression in aphasia
Abstract
In this study, we focused on the referential activity, more specifically, the production of indirect anaphors, of aphasic individuals in interaction with other individuals, aphasic and non-aphasic. This referential tool, which the meaning requires the activation of extralinguistic elements through preceding anchors and constructions during the interaction, has as its main property the non-coreferentiality between the anaphora and the anchor. Understanding whether the mediation between this dyad is successful in communication terms allows us to infer modes of enunciative production of aphasic people in scenarios considered normatively unfavorable to their linguistic situation, enabling the validation or not of pre-established theoretical ideations about the remaining and reorganized capacities of these individuals.Downloads
