Metafísica fantástica: a metáfora entre Borges e Nietzsche

Este trabalho estuda a metáfora enquanto tropo, procedimento da leitura e procedimento da escritura para rastrear a existência da “metafísica fantástica??? na obra de Borges, e seu possível desdobramento quando se encontra com a obra de Nietzsche. Para tanto, leva em consideração que a literatura borgeana trabalha com a filosofia levando em conta os problemas que envolvem a metafísica na contemporaneidade, transformando, metafísica e crítica da metafísica, em material estético para suas ficções. A crítica à metafísica está presente nas reflexões de Borges e de Nietzsche. Ambos autores parecem desprezar diferenças definitivas entre filosofia e literatura, produzindo textos que desafiam uma leitura que privilegie apenas o trato conceitual ou apenas o trato imagético de temas, personagens e questões. Soma-se a crítica, realizada por ambos autores, à suposta objetividade do mundo e à crença de que um Ser tenha criado esse mundo independente dos sujeitos e o garanta, o ordene, o organize etc. A “metafísica fantástica??? borgeana sugere algumas idéias ao leitor, entre elas, a idéia de experimentar a pretensa semelhança de metáforas presentes nas duas obras, pertencentes, a princípio, a áreas diversas: filosofia e literatura. Tal encontro de figuras talvez sugira um outro modo de a “metafísica fantástica??? se desdobrar. Abstract This work is intended for studying the metaphor as trope, reading procedure and writing procedure in order to track the existence of the “fantastic metaphysics??? in Borges’ work, as well as its possible development when meeting Nietzsche’s work. In order to do so, it is taken into account that Borges’ literature deals with philosophy in the scope of problems which involve contemporary metaphysics, turning metaphysics and its critique in esthetical material for his works. The critique to metaphysics is found on Borges’ and Nietzsche’s reflections. The authors seem to reject definitive differences between philosophy and literature, producing texts which incite to a reading favoring only the conceptual treatment, or only treatment of themes, characters and issues by means of imagery. The authors also critique the supposed objectivity of the world and the belief that some Being has created such world apart from the subjects, and that this Being guarantee it, organize it, and so on. Borges’ “fantastic metaphysics??? suggest some ideas to the reader, including the idea of trying the presumed similarity of metaphors present in both works which, at first, belong to separate areas: philosophy and literature. Such meeting of figures may suggest another way of the “fantastic metaphysics??? unfolding itself.
