BAUDELAIRE NO BRASIL: CLODOMIRO CARDOSO, UM MISTÉRIO REVELADO

RESUMO: Este artigo parte da reunião das traduções dos poemas do livro Les Fleurs du mal, de 1857, de Charles Baudelaire, publicadas no Brasil, e procura refletir sobre a relevância e o diálogo dessas traduções dentro da história da literatura brasileira e sobre qual é o seu posicionamento em relação à obra francesa. Dentro da diversidade de tradutores, mais de 60, alguns se destacam por suas qualidades estéticas ou sua relevância literária. Observa-se, em particular, o poeta e tradutor maranhense Clodomiro Cardoso como expressão significante dessa recepção. ABSTRACT: This article takes as its starting point the many translations of poems in the book "Les Fleurs du Mal" of 1857 by Charles Baudelaire, published in Brazil and it represents either a reflection on the relevance and the role of these translations in the history of Brazilian litterature or what is its position in relation to the French work. Within the diversity of translators, more than 60, some are distinguished for their aesthetic qualities or their literary relevance. It can be observed, in particular, in the poet and maranhense translator Clodomiro Cardoso as a significant expression of this reception.
