O TRÁGICO EM LAVOURA ARCAICA, DE RADUAN NASSAR

Resumo

RESUMO: Lavoura arcaica ressalta-se, possivelmente, como um dos mais trágicos (no sentido aristotélico) romances brasileiros das últimas décadas. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho é analisar como são trabalhados os elementos estruturais da tradição clássica trágica no romance Lavoura arcaica, de Raduan Nassar e o modo como esses elementos do trágico, nessa narrativa, se correlacionam com o trágico clássico apresentado na Poética, de Aristóteles e nos textos mencionados por ele, tais como, a tragédia grega Édipo-rei, de Sófocles com a finalidade de buscar as semelhanças e as diferenças entre a produção literária do passado e a do presente. ABSTRACT: Lavoura arcaica highlighted itself, possibly, as one of the most tragic (in the Aristotelian direction) Brazilian romances of the last decades. Thus, the aim of this work is analyzing how the structural elements of the tragic classic tradition are approached in the romance Lavoura arcaica, by Raduan Nassar and the way how these elements from the tragic, in this narrative, correlate with the tragic classic presented in the Poetical, by Aristotle and in the texts mentioned by him, such as, the tragedy Greek Edipo-king, by Sophocles with the purpose of searching the similarities and the differences between the literary production from the past and from the present.
