UM “SUPLEMENTO LITERÁRIO” DE EÇA DE QUEIRÓS PARA A GAZETA DE NOTÍCIAS DURANTE O ANO DE 1892

RESUMO: O romancista Eça de Queirós, famoso por retratar a sociedade portuguesa de seu tempo, teve um importante papel no jornal carioca Gazeta de Notícias. Além de trabalhar como correspondente estrangeiro, foi criador e diretor de um “Suplemento Literário”, um informativo que trazia as notícias da Europa aos brasileiros no final do século XIX. Neste artigo, será mostrado como fora executada essa tarefa e sua finalidade. ABSTRACT: The romancist Eça de Queirós, famous for picturing a panorama of the portuguese society at his time, had an important role at the Gazeta de Notícias journal. Besides working as a foreign correspondent, he was both creator and director of “Suplemento Literário”, an informative section which reported the news from Europe to the brazilians at the end of the XIX century. This article will show how he executed this task and its goal.
