TRADUÇÃO COMO OBJETIVO E OBJETO DE PESQUISA "DIE JUDENBUCHE" DE ANNETTE VON DROSTE-HÜLSHOFF

RESUMO: Este trabalho apresenta os resultados preliminares de uma pesquisa em andamento para uma dissertação de mestrado, cujo objetivo é apresentar uma tradução para o português, anotada e comentada, da novela Die Judenbuche (1842), de Annette von Droste-Hülshoff. A dissertação pretende combinar trabalho prático e teórico. Na fase atual da minha pesquisa, estou explorando as possíveis relações entre a prática e a teoria da tradução literária. O artigo aborda assuntos relativos aos estudos de tradução, à teoria literária e à lingüística (textual). A direção da minha pesquisa é definida pela compreensão da tradução como um ato comunicativo, cujo objetivo é a construção de sentidos. ABSTRACT: This paper presents the preliminary results of research in progress for a master thesis, which aims at elaborating an annotated translation (into Portuguese) and commentary of Die Judenbuche (1842) by Annette von Droste-Hülshoff. The thesis proposes to combine practical and theoretical work. At the present stage of my research, I am exploring the possible relations between theory and practice in literary translation. The paper addresses themes from translation studies, literary theory and (textual) linguistics. The direction of my research is based on a comprehension of translation as a communicative act aimed at the construction of meaning.
