Resumo

ABSTRACT: This study has the purpose to analyze the discourse of the emergence of television in Brazil in its formulation by the written press of Estado de São Paulo, based on theoretical and methodological presuppositions of the Discourse Analysis. It's aim to understand how the circulation of paulistas newspapers since the 1950s constitutes meanings for the beginning of teletransmissions, which were brought about by the opening of TV Tupi in São Paulo, in september of 1950 by means of published articles by the following newspapers Folha de S. Paulo, O Estado de São Paulo and Correio Paulistano.
