Resumo

This paper presents a research related to the word order in the languages of tupian trunk. To this paper, it is used data from Thesis of Galucio (2001), Franceschini (1999), and Rodrigues, C. (1995). The data of these Theses is analized according to functional-typological orientations, like Givon (1984), Greenberg (1963), and others. On this paper, it is possible to see that the major word order in tupian languages are SVO and SOV
