Resumo

ABSTRACT: This project focuses the process of teaching-learning Portuguese as a foreign language, aiming to shed some light on the way both Brazil and Brazilian speakers are being constituted through some books used in courses all over the country. This study is the result of our performance while a teacher in this context that provided us the perception of the lack of specific formation on the part of the involved professionals and of information about the available books. This research will be able to assist the teachers in the choice of the didactic books offering discursive information about the material analyzed.
