Discrepâncias narrativas internas em Homero: Teoclímeno “corrige” Telêmaco (Odisseia 15, 152-65)

Resumo

Neste artigo, defende-se a utilidade analítica da noção de “discrepância narrativa interna” para discutir-se a performance da épica homérica na Grécia Arcaica. Ela é definida como um tipo de curto-circuito narrativo, pleno de sentido, provocado por uma discordância clara e distinta entre as vozes de Homero e de uma personagem: a segunda versão do evento é narrado por uma personagem que esteve presente no evento tal como narrado anteriormente pela voz de Homero. Se o receptor percebe a discrepância então ele espelha as próprias personagens do poema que são ouvintes afiados e também, geralmente, eficientes sujeitos de performance de discursos. A discussão será exemplificada por uma interpretação minuciosa do presságio que Teoclímeno narra para Penélope e Telêmaco no canto 17 da Odisseia.
